Interview with author Violette L. Reid

Tell us what motivated you to write this book.
As a child I always had a very vivid imagination and I wanted to share my creativity with the world.

Who did you write this book for?
Everyone who appreciated the power of imagination.

Bring your 3 main characters to life. Tell us who they are and what you love about them.

Zayashariya:
She is beautiful, dangerous, and full od surprises. She is constant battle with herself and wants so badly to be a better person.

Queen Lilith: Evil personified. She is raw and violent and full of sexual energy. She is totally selfish and cares about nothing but power.

Fital: A very nice and nobel man who lets his desire blind him to reality.

Where are you from? What is your favorite book, music, movie, play?
Atlanta, GA. I love all Anne Rice books. Prince is my favorite musician and I love movies in general. I love so many I can't just pick one.

How do you spend your free time? Do you write poetry or sing?
I love to paint, dance, write poetry, chill with my family, and just live life.

How did you feel when you saw your book on the shelf for the first time?
Ecstatic! I felt proud and full of unspeakable joy.

What is your process for creating a novel? Do you plot out the story or do the characters speak to you?
I simply write. I let it unfold on its own.

Could you image your life without writing today?
Never. I have been writing since my childhood. It has always been a source of relaxation and release.

Do you feel writing is for those trained to write or for anyone who has a story to tell? Both.

What is the best thing about being a published author? The sense of accomplishment.

As a writer, what are some of the most important things you try to convey to readers through your books?
To step outside the box and see things in a different way. I want them to know that there is a reason and method to all things.

What are you doing next?
When can we expect to see you touring online or on the road? Working on a new novel. On the road hopefully!
