Cavalcade of Authors 10th Anniversary weekend, Oct. 3-5, 2014 in Chicago. The Cavalcade of Authors 10th Anniversary is going to be a blast! Join us for a weekend where we're doing it up Mardi Gras Style on the Magnificent Mile and touring to other parts of the Metropolitan Chicagoland area with your favorite authors and new ones you'll meet at the event.
This year, the Cavalcade Tour's host hotel is the Marriott Downtown Chicago Magnificent Mile, where we're proud to welcome: Naleighna Kai, Lutishia Lovely, Zuri Day, Victoria Christopher Murray, Pat G'orge Walker, J. L. Woodson, Martha Kennerson, Renee Daniel Flagler, Joyce A. Brown, Valarie Prince, Jerome Montgomery, Jr., Monica Marie Jones Sierra Kay, Candy Jackson, GPA, L. A. Lewis, , and a host of others.
Join us for a private dinner at the Grand Lux Café on Friday. Saturday, the tour bus takes us to the new India House Restaurant for a buffet lunch, then it's off for shopping at Prime Outlet OR with the addition of a second bus--sightseeing at Navy Pier and DuSable Museum.
Later on Saturday, the main event will be held at Room 43-a Mardi Gras party to celebrate the Cavalcade the same way it began--in true New Orleans style. We end the weekend with an inspirational Sunday Buffet brunch at Marriott Chicago Downtown on the Magnificent Mile. This is the perfect event for book clubs and book lovers.
